Collioure is one of the oldest archeological sites in the é of Pyrénées Orientales. The history of this fishing village is closely connected to that of the département and the entire Catalan region. The kings of Majorca used to reside in Perpignan, Palma or Majorca during the heat of the summer months.
We have been working with the village of Collioures for several years now and, in association with Alain Vernet, we undertake here a different project every year. Above you will find illustrations of metallic and wood footbridges over the Douy river, as well as the redevelopment project of Place du 18 juin.
This latter project is part of major redevelopment program of the public grounds of the community launched in the 1980s using natural materials such as Lègnes and Porphyre stone for cobbling, paths, walls, etc. according to the needs of each project.
The cost of the works varies from one year to the next. The footbridge for example cost 150,000 euros whereas the cost of redeveloping the Boramar amounted to 1 million euros.
