ARCHITECTURAL PROJECTS
"Château de Lavagnac", also known as "Petit Versailles Languedocien", is currently undergoing a major restoration program with the view of converting it into a five star hotel. The chateau and its grounds are included in a daring project. The building, which is listed as an ancient monument, has a lovely neo-classical facade that looks over the valley of the river Herault.Upon completion of the project, the chateau will be set in the middle of an international, eighteen-hole golf course and surrounded by several residential hamlets. The studies for this project were carried out in close collaboration with the government, DRAC and SDAP authorities. As specified in the project, all the ceremonial rooms are due to be restored and particular attention will be given to the old wall panelling, wooden floors and stuccos. The Pompeian-style hall, complete with its mosaic-floor will also be restored to its former splendour. The cost of this restoration amounts to approximately 10 million euros, plus the cost of furnishings and light fittings.
