After acquiring a disused farm in the old town centre, the Boisseron community embarked on the ambitious project of converting this old building into a media library with several activity rooms, and building an extension for a multi-purpose hall accommodating up to 300 people.
The project involved ensuring that the new extension would blend in with the surrounding area. Constructing a new building at right angles to the older existing building added to the farm-like feel of the ensemble. The new hall, which meets today's stringent technical and acoustic norms, will be suitably designed so that it may also be used during the hot summer months. The attaining public grounds were treated as an esplanade including children's playgrounds and landscaped gardens.
The building was completed in November 2006.
